Fallen Oak

Most of you have seen our oak tree in our backyard. It was a major selling point when we were buying our house. Unfortuately due to circumstances out of our control, part of the tree has fallen. We are in the process of determining the removal of it and determining if the remainder of the tree will be salvaged. This tree is beautiful and I really hope it can be saved.

Rest of the week in SGI

We had a great rest of the week. Wednesday night we went with Katie and the kids to Harry As for dinner and kareoke. Karie and Susan sang and Cole also sang (older Cole). They alsoBrian came down on Thursday and my stepdad joined us on Friday. We continued to play and just enjoy our time together at the beach. We can't wait until next year to do it again. Here are a lot of pictures that cover the rest of the week.

Wednesday ~ SGI

We woke up and my mom and I each went on a bike ride before heading to the beach. We hung out about an hour before coming up for lunch and a nap. Cole took a 3 and 3/4 hour nap and I even woke him up from the nap because we were starting to lose beach time. Katie and the kids came back over and we all enjoyed the beach. Katie's Cole took me on an adventure in the raft and upon our return Karie found a sand dollar. We are were so excited and talked about how long it had been since we found sand dollars. Well suddenly we realized they were EVERYWHERE! Katie's Cole, Karie, Katie and I all kept diving for sand dollars. We have them all drying on the deck. We will be back to look for more today.

After the beach we quickly showered and met Katie and the kids at Harry A's for dinner and kareoke. The kids and Susan sang. There was also a bouncy house for the kids. Cole loved it. He ran all over the patio and I'll tell you when we got home, he drank his milk and was ready for bed. Katie and the kids stopped by to go walk on the beach. Susan went with them while my mom and I sat on the deck and looked at the stars. It once again had been a beautiful day and night. We can not beat the weather we have had since we have been here.

Could it be any prettier? I think not!

Here I am out in the boat after Cole took me out to the sandbar. Notice my nice glove that covers my cast. It is not an oven mit.

Tuesday ~ SGI

We woke up early and my mom, Cole and I went for a walk on the beach. We came back and grabbed Susan and all went for a jeep ride around the island. We stopped at the produce stand and from there walked to the market. There were some cats running around and one was just as interested in Cole as Cole was in him. However, just as Cole went up to give the cat a little love, he (being Cole) sneezed and scared the cat to death and that cat took off running. Cole wasn't quite sure what had happened. It was hilarious. We headed back to the house and Cole played out in the pool for a bit before lunch and then took a long 3.5 hour nap. After his nap we packed up for the beach and Katie, Cole and Karie arrived back at the beach and join us. The water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We all enjoyed the water. Cole once again heard the work "Walk" and took off down the beach. There was a little girl blowing some big bubbles that stopped him for a bit but then off he was............

We came back for dinner and then he decided he would rather play with his pj bottoms than wear them. Off to bed for another fun day in the sun tomorrow...................

Cole woke up with his hair looking like he had stuck his finger in a light socket.

Delicious salsa we made with avocado.
