Pool Obsession

Last night Cole stood outside the pool area and reached his arms though the slots and said over and over, "please, please, please" as he pointed to his little plastic pool. Finally inside, this what all he wanted to do!!!!!!!!

One Sunny Weekend

What a great weekend for being outdoors. Saturday morning was fun and crazy all at the same time. Carly brought the twins (Brody and Wade) over for us to watch while she hosted a baby shower. They were wonderful as always but double the kids, double the work. But I have to say, between Brian and I we knocked it out. (I have pictures on another computer to post from that morning but not with me so be looking for them later). That afternoon Carly and the boys, Allison and Caden and the Hickeys came over to play in the sun.

Sunday morning we headed outside around 9:30, lathered up Cole, and didn't come back inside until around 5:30. Cole obviously did for a nap, but other than that it was a day in the sun. Brian wasn't feeling too great so he stayed in bed for most of the day, but Kat came over to keep us company. Then later on in the afternoon, Shari and Joshua came over to play.

Cole is quick to point out there is a dog in a 5 mile radius. He'll start screaming "dog, dog" and in the faint distance you will hear a bark. He now likes to also point out all the passing birds and say "birrrrd" and can find any airplane passing through our airspace. He amazes me every day with all the new words he is using and how much he is learning daily!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

After so many cheez-its, I decided to get him some lunch!

I love this expression!

Who is that cool dude?

Mac N Cheese Buffet

Cole had such a great weekend. Friday Gram and Granddaddy picked him up from school and he spent the night with them. I am still trying to figure out their "trick." Somehow the grandkids sleep in to ridiculous times over there. He slept until 8:20 at their house on Saturday and we even kept him up later than usual on Saturday night but he was up around 6:30 on Sunday. Anyways, thank you for keeping him, it is enjoyable for all.

Saturday we took Bill and Sandy to Cole's and my new favorite place, Tijuana Flats, for lunch. Cole would eat nothing from me but sure seemed to love the exact same thing that Granddaddy had. Stinker! After a nice long nap, we went to celebrate Gavin Rudd's 3rd Birthday. And then to Rummy's to continue Katie's 29th, again, celebration. Cole loves being around other children and they do a good job of entertaining him as well.

Sunday we as well as Bill, Michele, Sydney and Cody loaded up to go and visit Mimi and Pops in Quitman. We had a nice lunch with them at an all you can eat macaroni and cheese buffet (since that is all he would eat, and I understand why, it was good). Then we went back to Mimi and Pops and played on the playground next to their house for a bit. The kids had a great time as you can see below!
I just love this little face!

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter Everyone! We went down south for the holiday weekend and our first stop was in Orlando. Brian found a park while running so we took Cole there to play. He got to swing, walk the nature walk to the lake, play on the soccer and baseball fields and finally end at the slides.

We then had a mock easter egg hunt to make sure he understood the process. He was a natural and loved it. Here are a few pictures we took playing around in the yard.

He obviously discovered alternate uses for the easter basket, a "hat hat."

As the sun was setting mom and I took Cole out back on the golf course and I love how the sunset hits his face in these pictures.

Easter Morning

After an Easter egg hunt at "Emmy and Papa's", off to "Granny and PePaw's" we went. I absolutely love his expression in this picture.

I suppose since he was vacationing all weekend he needed to get some work done. He probably traded millions in stocks on the way home. As you can see in the last photo, I tried to talk to him while he was on an important call.

It was a wonderful weekend and we had such a great time visiting with everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful a time as we did!!!!!!!!!
